Playitas Resort - Fuerteventura PLAYITAS RESORT The Playitas Resort is located in the picturesque bay of the fishing village Las Playitas in the Municipality of Tuineje 5 kilometres from the coastal town of Gran Tarajal, which is easy to reach by public transport, taxi, rent a car and offers a harbour/marina, beach of fine black sand and a large variety of restaurants and shops. The resort of Playitas is made up of the Playitas Hotel, Playitas Aparthotel and Playitas Villas. The Playitas Hotel has 223 rooms (167 double rooms, 52 Junior and 4 rooms with a private pool) which is perfect for individuals and couples. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, telephone, WiFi internet , SAT-TV (flat screen), safe for rent, bath, shower, toilet and a balcony or terrace. The Playitas Aparthotel comprises 7 individual buildings made up of 114 studios and 96 apartments - ideal for families. (sea view at extra charge). The studios have 2-4 beds in one spacious room separated on two different levels. The apartments have the same furniture as the studios, but with 2-5 beds. These are split into one bedroom and have a separate living room. The Playitas Villas are the perfect choice for families and couples. Every villa comprises 2 bedrooms with a full-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, a complete kitchen with a fridge, cooker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, washing machine and dryer, a living room with dining table, sofa, and SAT-TV (flat screen), internet, safe and a garden with a private pool, terrace, pergola and outdoor furniture. Not only is the Playitas Resort becoming one of the largest sports and training centres in Europe where athletes can get prepare for competitions in numerous sports such as swimming, triathlon, cycling, tennis and golf, it is also great for families who like to be active or prefer to just relax in the sun. At the Aparthotel there is a specially designed heated children's pool with a depth of 0.3 meters together with large waterslide and a heated swimming pool (850 sqm) with sun beds, Jacuzzi, geysers, water currents and jets. In addition, Playitas Resort has a 50m Olympic pool, which attracts professional swimmers and enthusiastic amateurs alike. Of course, some may prefer to splash in your very own private swimming pool, which you get if you book one of the luxury villas or luxury rooms at the Hotel. There is also a children's mini club for ages between 4 and 12 years old. Every day there are a lot of fun activities so the kids can enjoy themselves whilst parents can enjoy the facilities or just relax. Children of 3 years may attend but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Also the Kids Sports Academy which is run during peak holiday weeks is a fun way to be active. The Sports Academy for children has 3 groups: "Pulpinos" for children from 5 to 7 years, "Sharks" for children from 8 to 11 years and "Teens" for youngsters from 12 to 15 years. The mission for all groups is the same, the activities have to be fun, educational and is an opportunity to make new friendships. The instructors have a wealth of experience in all the recreational activities and even for the Pulpinos, sport is included in the programme.
