Tenerife

Tenerife is situated right in the middle of the Canary Islands group
and is dominated by Spain's highest peak, Mount Teide, some 3718 metres
high. The combination of the island's volcanic landscape and lush vegetation
make Tenerife a special attraction. However much of its success is attributed
to the wonderful climate, having more than 3000 hours of sunshine each
year and average annual temperature of 22 degrees. It is therefore an
excellent choice, either for a main summer villa and apartment holiday,
for a short winter break, or even a longer stay when European temperatures
are at their lowest.
Tenerife is a holiday destination which attracts more visitors each year.
For the sun worshipper or the more active, Tenerife is well suited to
those wishing to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. Anytime of the
year is perfect for rock climbing, abseiling, cycling, windsurfing and
sailing. For the enthusiastic golfer several new courses have been designed
and opened in recent years.
The culture and traditions of Tenerife combine successfully and many
popular festivities and fiestas take place each year to the sound of traditional
local music. Throughout the year Tenerife offers a full programme of visual
arts, photography, music, dance and theatre including concerts by the
Tenerife Symphony Orchestra which enjoys and excellent reputation.
Tenerife, rich in hospitality with fun and leisure options lies waiting
to be discovered.
