Windsurfing, Bahia Feliz, Gran Canaria
Number one in the Canaries for reliable winter winds, this period sees probably the busiest part of the year for Claus and his Club Mistral team in Bahia Feliz. Please note that the Hotel Orquidea will be closed from 21st of April until 1st of July 2008 for renovations of the pool area and reception together with the construction of a new wellness/spa area. Therefore the Hotel Orquidea will be closed during this period as well as reception and the main restaurant.

Apartments Las Pitas and Tres Vidas will still be available during this and there should not be too much disruption with noise and dust. A temporary reception will be available between the Las Pitas and Tres Vidas apartments and the low season rates will be extended during this time.

The summer 2008 programme of high wind excursions to Arinaga, Ketchup and Vargas will continue. The excursions are lead by a highly experienced sailor and high level of safety and service is practised at all times in order that clients can concentrate on learning and perfecting new skills.

Also Club Mistral have now introduced a more flexible pricing system:

• From the fourth rental day onwards, each rental day costs £15
• Every 7th day is free.
• Price reductions of 20% for youngsters aged 13 through 18
• Price reductions of 30% for children aged up to 12.
• Select a dedicated board that will be reserved for exclusive use for the duration
• Inclusive variable foot straps and freely selectable fins.
• Rig changes permissible whenever required

Windsurfing Costa Teguise, Lanzarote
Costa Teguise now has an excellent selection of kit available to hire from the various centres in the resort, AHD, JP, F2, Fanatic and Bic Sport. We have one beach house available just 100 metres from Las Cucharas Beach together with a wide selection of villas and quality apartments all within ten minutes walk from the beach. It is advisable to book very early for July/August dates particularly for the beachfront accommodation or villas with private pools.

Windsurfing Fuerteventura
Ben & his team continue at the ever popular Flag Beach Windsurf Centre and will again be offering windsurfing kit from Fanatic/North and kite surfing kit from Fanatic/North together will a full range of courses including kite, windsurfing, surf and a new multi sports week/s aimed at two main groups of people, surfers and windsurfers. It’s a VIP watersports tour as the staff running these packages will be multi sport instructors who can kite, windsurf and surf. The multi sport groups will be 5 persons per instructor.

Back on sale are two wonderful beachfront properties Casa Miranda and Casa Hedley. Both are front line and probably the closest villas with pools in Corralajo to Flag Beach windsurf centre.

Windsurfing El Medano, Tenerife
Bjorn, Harald and Christophe will continue to run the "Fun Factory" located in the basement of the Atlantic Playa Hotel overlooking Cabezo Bay in El Medano with excellent kit from Fanatic/North.  Please note that there is a complete renovation of the Hotel Atlantic Playa, therefore Fun Factory Windsurf Centre, situated in the basement, will be unable to operate from their current site during the works. Further Note 29/11/06 The re-opening of the hotel has been delayed and is not expected to open until the end of 2007 in which case Fun Factory have decided to cease all windsurfing operations for the time being. There are of course possibilities for road bike or mountain bike hire from their new shop in town "Bike Point" with a range of hard tail and full suspension bikes from Cannodale, Marin and Scott together with guided tours and repair service. Klaus & Marion at Surf Centre Playa Sur, situated on the western side of the Hotel Playa Sur will continue to offer their excellent service in the South Bay with equipment from Naish. They will also be offering Kite surfing tuition. Also now in the south bay is the new OTC Test Centre offering four diverse sailing areas, catering for flat-water to waves, boards from F2, Fanatic, Goya, Hifly, JP Australia, Mistral, RRD, Starboard, Tabou and Sails from Ezzy, Gaastra, Maui Sails, Neil Pryde, North Sails, Severne, Simmer, Tushingham.

The kite surf school in the South Bay which opened four years ago continues with excellent tuition and kit from Naish, RRD, F-One and Wipika. Our accommodation in El Medano includes three 3 bedroom villas with private heated pool all within walking distance of Fun Factory Windsurf Centre, a 2 bedroom Magallanes apartment with great views the South Bay and some brand new very conveniently situated 2 bedroom beach front apartments with board storage and washing facilities just 150 metres from Surf Centre Playa Sur.

Windsurfing Essaouira, Morocco
May 2006 saw the opening of the new Club Mistral Windsurf and Kitesurf in Essaouira. Offering 30 boards and around 50 rigs together with an excellent beach front bar and restaurant, this destination will certainly prove popular destination again for 2008. A new hotel has recently opened - Hotel Ocean Vagabond Guesthouse in Essaouira. The Hotel opened officially on the 1st  July 2006 and is owned by Sebastian Deflandre who also runs the Club Mistral Centre in Essaouira. It is located 100 metres from the beach and 200 meters from the medina of Essaouira. The rooms open onto private terraces with views of the ocean. The fourteen rooms are laid out on two floors. On the first floor a curved corridor serves three rooms with a view of the medina and three rooms and a suite with a view of the ocean. The second floor corridor curves around five rooms, a small suite and a grand suite that dominates the breathtaking view of the port and beach of Essaouira. The rooms are individually decorated in a pluri-ethnic original style. All rooms have private bathrooms of natural marble with bath and toilet. They are all equipped with twenty inch LCD screen international satellite channels, telephone, safe, mini bar and room service. Warm and romantic, each element was thought out carefully to create an atmosphere of relaxation and peace. Prices on request.
