Gran
Canaria is often referred to as the small continent due to its extremely
close climatical zones and varied landscapes with mountains, deserts and
tropical forests all in just one island of 1532 sq km. The mountain range
in the centre rises to 2000 metres and features some strange canyons together
with stunning scenery. The island has 236 km of coast, with sandy beaches
found predominantly on the south eastern side. This is where the exceptional
Playa del Ingles and the Maspalomas Dunes are to be found. To the west
and southwest there are cliffs and to the north and northeast two kinds
of coast offering a variety of beaches, coves and inlets.

Feliz is a self contained resort, in a pleasant location, just 5 minutes
drive from San Augustin on the south coast of Gran Canaria and approximately
twenty five minutes drive from the airport. Within the resort there are
a good selection of restaurants, shops and a well-stocked supermarket.
There are a variety of apartments and studios in the area and some within
the grounds of the resort hotel, all of which are no more than five minutes
walk from the beach and excellent windsurfing centre. The facilities of
the resort hotel are available to clients staying at the apartments, which
include swimming pool, tennis, gymnasium, mini-golf and table tennis.
There is also volleyball and trampolines available on the beach. The busy
nightlife in the resort of Playa del Ingles is just ten minutes by car.
